Chelsea is a Senior Program Coordinator with the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. She specializes in faculty-led and customized internship programs for all Engineering students at UT. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Michigan State University in 2017 with a focus in Performance and Ethnomusicology. After discovering a strong affinity for Indian culture and music at the early stages of her career, she began Hindustani music lessons in New York City and in Udaipur, India. Her research compared the musical transmission techniques of both Hindustani classical music and Western classical music. This sparked her interest in international education and how higher education institutions can integrate more opportunities abroad for underserved majors such as Engineering and Music. She is particularly passionate in merging both study and professional experiences abroad through accessible programming for all students
