Jeremy Druker
Executive Director, Transitions
Jeremy Druker is the executive director of Transitions, one of Central and Eastern Europe's leading media development organizations that he co-founded in 1999. He is also editor in chief of the organization’s online newsmagazine, which provides insightful coverage of the region. He teaches a course on social media and its impact on society at the Prague CIEE and NYU campuses, and his organization has hosted dozens of interns from CIEE and other programs over the years.
Jeremy was a 2023 Sulzberger Fellow at Columbia Journalism School; has served as chairman of the board of the Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic; and is currently a member of the supervisory board of the Czech Journalism Prizes. He has been an Ashoka Fellow since 2010, part of an international network of social entre He holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and a master's in international affairs from Columbia University. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he now lives in Prague, which he has called home for more than 25 years.
