Karin King

Minister Counsellor for Consular Affairs, U.S. Embassy, London

Ms. King currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Overseas Citizens  Services, with responsibility for the Department’s Travel Information Program,  provision of emergency and routine services to U.S. citizens, and oversight of the  Office of Children’s Issues, which handles international adoptions and parental  child abduction issues. Previously, she served as Managing Director for Visa  Services (CA/VO). Overseas, she most recently served as Consul General in  Mexico City, with prior tours in Poland, the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, and  Germany. She speaks German and Spanish. Ms. King has a Master of Science in  Foreign Service from Georgetown University and received her B.A. from the College of Wooster.
