Dr. Mihaela Metianu is the Assistant Provost for Global Engagement at Florida Atlantic University. She oversees international student services, education abroad, international employee and scholar services, international student recruitment, and the Intensive English Institute. Mihaela also serves as an affiliate faculty in the College of Education and teaches courses related to comparative international higher education. She is active in both NAFSA and AIEA and participated as a presenter and panelist on topics related to international programs, services, thought leadership, and advocacy. She holds a doctoral degree in higher education administration from Florida State University.
