Ruth Nyabuto

Academic Manager, University of Oxford Refugee Studies Centre, Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH)

Ruth is a passionate leader in education, an advocate for refugee-led initiatives, and is committed to research excellence. She is the Academic Manager of University of Oxford Refugee Studies Centre, Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH), where she leads academic programming for RLRH learners and affiliates with a lived experience of displacement from 50+ countries. These programmes include the RSC-BIEA Fellowship, RSC Pathways, and Graduate Horizons. Previously she managed the Refugee-Led Research Hub Nairobi, Kenya office at the British Institute in Eastern Africa(BIEA). She holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Oxford: MSc Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (2019) and MSc African Studies (2020). She is one of the two Rhodes Scholars selected from Kenya in 2018. She graduated from USIU-A in 2017 with a BA in International Relations and Diplomacy.
