Dr. Ryoko Nakano is a lecturer at Tohoku University, Graduate School of Dentistry, Division for Globalization Initiative, where she coordinates outbound and inbound study programs for dentistry students, especially the Campus Asia Program supported by the Japanese Government. She worked at Osaka University, Center for International Education and Exchange for five years (2017-2022), where she was involved in the Internship Course for English Exchange Program students. She holds an M.A. and a doctorate in Language and Culture from Osaka University, Japan, and has been an exchange student in Germany. Her main research is about forming communities among international students and local people. Furthermore, she has an interest in communication education that uses art.
