Biography

Jeff Selingo has written about higher education for more than two decades and is a New York Times bestselling author of three books. His latest book, Who Gets In & Why: A Year Inside College Admissions, was named among the 100 Notable Books of the year by the New York Times. His next book, Dream School: Finding the College That’s Right for You, will be published by Simon & Schuster in September. A regular contributor to The Atlantic and New York magazine, Jeff is a special advisor to the president and professor of practice at Arizona State University, where he directs the Academy for Innovative Higher Education Leadership in partnership with Georgetown University. He co-hosts the podcast, Future U. and writes a regular newsletter called Next. He’s been a board member at his undergraduate alma mater, Ithaca College, for the last 8 years. He received his master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. He also sits on the board of the National Association of Independent Schools.
